You may have noticed a banner ad at the top of this blog promoting Nancy’s latest book, entitled Virtuous. One of the things that Nancy has loved doing over the years is to lead small group Bible and book studies. She has done it with young girls and older women. She has led studies for young married women. It may be a topical Bible study, or they might go through a book on contentment by Thomas Watson or Jeremiah Burroughs.
In this new book, Nancy has collected a series of her studies on biblical virtues for women, put them together, and attached study questions. Unlike some of the age or station specific studies, this book is a study that, as the subtitle puts it, applies to women of all ages.
The virtues that women can learn to cultivate here include diligence, cheerfulness, humility, domesticity, and ten more. This is ideally suited for women’s small study groups, and the topics are perennially relevant.
Another book???????!!!!!
Mrs. Wilson is supposed to be “silent, invisible and unable to teach”, how could she be writing books?
I can’t wait to read the Rachel Miller review. Then the world can rest easy about the foot notes! (The most important thing according to some.)
Did you comp. Ms. Miller a copy?????
Is there available a table of contents or somewhere giving a hint about what she considers to be those perennial topics?
Yes! Here: http://canonpress.com/content/G-115.pdf
