Our New Fellow of Theology

Sharing Options

We are thrilled to announce that NSA has hired Tim Edwards as Fellow of Theology, to be joining us here in Moscow by next fall. After Peter Leithart moved to Birmingham to work with Trinity House, the college had quite a challenge replacing someone of Peter’s stature. We are really excited about God’s kindness to us in making this possible.

For more details, you can read the press release from the college below.

Oxford’s Timothy Edwards to join NSA faculty in Moscow
Oxford scholar Dr. Timothy Edwards has been named Fellow of Theology at New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho. He will take up residency in time for the Jerusalem term starting in August 2014.
The former full-time lector at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, Dr. Edwards will teach the College’s signature Theology Colloquium among other undergraduate courses and serve on the graduate school faculty.  As the editor of the Hebrew grammar program for BibleMesh, Dr. Edwards will also be offering Hebrew grammar to the College’s undergrad and grad students. A seasoned rugby player and coach, his experience will add to the College’s Jerusalem Sevens Rugby Club.
He holds a D.Phil. in Oriental Studies from Oxford University. His research there pertained to the interpretation of the Psalms in the Aramaic Targum of Psalms and its relationship to other traditions. He completed his M.A. in Jewish Civilization from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his B.Ed. from West London Institute of Higher Education (now Brunel University College).
New Saint Andrews is a nationally recognized liberal arts college in the classical and Christian tradition located on Friendship Square in historic downtown Moscow, Idaho. For more information about the College, visit www.nsa.edu.

I glanced over at NSA’s website and on its home page under “Why NSA?” it says “Moscow is also home the University of Idaho”–surely should be “home TO the Univ.”?  (Fix that delete this.)

The question is: does he have a British accent?

A British accent adds AT LEAST 15 points to a man’s IQ, not to mention some good street cred.

Which is about the only thing going for Piers Morgan, but I digress.
