I wonder how often this food unCatholicism stems from a legitimate desire to bring every facet of our lives under submission to God. Maybe in the process of trying to figure out how to glorify God with one’s eating, bad hermeneutics, the flesh, or any other number of things muck up growth in this area and we end up with divisiveness about foods and eating.
Thanks for writing about this. It’s something that’s been on my heart (and stomach) for a while now. the discussion has been enriching.
