Minister: Lift up your hearts!
Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Venom from the princes comes,
Without a cause they press.
Before Your Word I stand in awe,
I see, my heart is filled with joy,
As though I found great battle spoil.
I loathe all lies, and those who speak
With and false lying lips.
I praise You daily seven times
Because Your judgments are all right,
And so I put my trust in them.
Great peace have those who love Your law,
And nothing shall offend.
I hoped in truth for Your right arm
To save me in the day of trial,
I have obeyed Your holy Word.
My soul has kept Your holy law,
And trust Your holy Word.
I love Your laws exceedingly.
I keep Your precepts close to me,
You know my every word and step.
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen
