I want to thank all of you for the outpouring of support since I announced that I needed to have a small cancerous tumor removed from my left jaw. We really appreciate your kindness. The tumor is back near the ear, and its removal won’t affect the beard, or so the doctor says.
Our next bit of news is that the surgery is now scheduled for May 7, and I will tell all of you what we know after we find out more about it.
We trust that you won’t mind too much if the news is, as we pray it will be, kind of anti-climactic. “Well, that was a big dud,” is just the kind of reaction we hope for.
