Show notes:

What it means to be Right-Wing, Left-wing, Conservative, or Progressive.

  • Modernity is not having access to hot and cold water
  • Modernity is a worldview
  • The thing that gives us a radical Christian outlook is the doctrine that Jesus is Lord
  • This doctrine is not left-wing or right-wing, it is Christian.

The French and American Revolutions Compared

  • Written by Friedrich von Gentz
  • Translated into English by John Quincy Adams (because he thought so highly of it)
  • This book shows how radically unlike the American revolution and French revolutions were from each other
  • A great book if you want to learn more about the revolutions!

Harmartiology

  • The word “anathema” means cursed or damned
  • Act 23:14, 1 Cor. 12:3, Rom. 9:3, 1 Cor. 16:22
