Although Christ Church took the initiative in scheduling our “flash psalm sings,” we want to make a point of thanking all those folks from other churches from across the spectrum who have joined us. We were very grateful for your presence, and we would be pleased to welcome you again to our next one. That next one, as it happens, will occur at 5 pm this coming Wednesday in Friendship Square. We expect for it to go as long as the others have done, which is to say, about fifteen minutes. We really hope to see you there.
Because we are announcing it a day or so before, we have anticipated the possibility of protesters again. Not to worry, the protesters last time just helped to make it a much bigger event, and we didn’t even have to pay them. But be assured that we do have a plan in place that will help us avoid any confrontations or clashes with them, and that should also enable us to sing without any trouble. That plan will be shared with members of Christ Church via email just before the event. Those of you who are our (most welcome) guests should be able to get the gist on site. We will have plenty of song sheets available, but those who have a copy of Cantus Christi, shown above, should bring it just like that guy in the picture did.
