The 9 steps are not about forgiving a person. They are about responding constructively to the distress of being hurt. http://learningtoforgive.com/9-steps/
It’s not a stretch to call the effort to rise above a great wrong suffered heroic. But there’s no acknowledgement in the 9 Steps that the effort is worth it forthose around you, your loved ones. Even a “non-faith” perspective doesn’t have to focus on “doing it for yourself.”
Well, here is the old school forgiveness method. It has less than 9 steps! ; – )
Luke 17
“If your brother or sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. 4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
At least she could have cracked a window for the poor dog. Better not have been a hot day–that would really have been unforgivable.
Someone better call Sarah Mclachlan! And quick!
“Forgiveness”?
Doesn’t the dog have control and verbal abuse issues? ????????
Dogs are detested in the Bible.
Just sayin’….
And cats aren’t even mentioned.
However there are many references to lions, which all house cats know themselves to be.
Perhaps a group of house cats should be called a pride, for the same reasons.
Some cats, traitorously to their kind, show that they need you, and even apparently like you.
A hubris of housecats.
An arrogance of housecats.
A haughtiness of housecats.
(I’m still more of a cat person than a dog person, though.)
Of course you are. Kyriosity never killed a Kat.
But you got me started as I watched the laundry spin in the dryer:
An alopecia of Sphynxes
A pulchritude of Persians
A psychopathy of scheming Siamese
A weightiness of Maine Coons
A mountain of Himalayans
And, of course, a mutation of Manxes
Oh, these are good. Well done, Jilly!
Not to mention a haberdashery of tuxedos.

I forgive you John.
Hey wow! Now I am some kind of hero! ; – )
