A couple days ago, I mentioned that Books & Culture had named Leepike Ridge their book of the week. That was a fun business, and now there’s some more news to add. The book is selling quite briskly, and has gotten to a sales ranking at Amazon that is higher than some comparable titles that have made the NYT bestseller list. I talked to one of the good people at Canon, and she said that she was not going to use the phrase “flying off the shelves.” But this was only because of her horror of falling into cliche, and not because it wasn’t true. I think they still have some, if you inexplicably don’t have yours yet.
And now I am happy to say that Borders has selected Leepike Ridge to be featured in all their stores as part of their Original Voices program. As they put it, for “10 years, Original Voices has been spotlighting innovative new authors,” and that certainly applies here. Nate’s book will be featured in all Borders stores for the month of June, starting on the 5th. And of course, many thanks to God for all of it.
