“Jesus says that in the resurrection, we will not marry or be given in marriage (Lk. 20:34-36). At the same time do not conclude from this that your relationship with your spouse will somehow be less than what it is now. This is so hopeful. I remember being a new Christian and newly married 14 years ago and learning that we would not be married in Heaven. I was so sad because I thought it would be as described there above, “oh hi…It’s you.” Grateful it will not be like that. :)
My only regret will be that I will never know what it is to have a sinless marriage with my wife, what it is to raise sinless kids but I am sure that heaven will pale all these regrets.
