So today is my blog’s second birthday. For all the intoleristas who are following my doings most assiduously, this means that I am just now entering my terrible twos. And right now I have my eye on that interesting Vase of Diversity on the Coffee Table of Mutual Affirmation.
Seriously, I am very grateful to God for the outlet this has provided, and the response it has received thus far. In the last two years, this site has received over 7 million hits (7,299,851 to be precise) and over 1 million distinct visits (1,289,555). The daily averages are now over 3,000 visits a day, and starting to push 20,000 hits a day. As much as I might want to attribute all this to postings of cute grandkids, I honestly think the real reason is the harassment we continue to receive from certain deranged quarters. For some reason, conflict is interesting. So I guess I should give these folks a special shout out. Hey, guys. Wish I could cut you a check, but it wouldn’t look right.
And for the friends who have visited, thank you. For those who have taken time to comment, many thanks. Everybody has been remarkably well behaved — I have only had to use my skull and bones icon a handful of times, which is not what I was expecting. And for all God’s gifts, we all thank Him. God is good, and we rejoice before Him.
