As an aside, you might want to ask the editor of this video to do a little tweaking to the audio, as at some points the music is at the same level as the speaker’s voice, and then at at least one other time, Doug’s voice becomes considerably louder than anything else in the video.

Somewhere along the way the culture took over music. Everyone was told that only professionals are allowed to sing, play or compose. For some reason this has totally permeated the culture, including the church in general. Now we are stuck with very few options with music in church. When I was in Sunday School, it seemed as it all of the women played piano and sang. We used to sing all the time at church. Now we have performers for one or two songs and no children’s music.
