I am on the road, and so am not posting my usual Saturday fare, which would normally be the sermon outline. But I did think I should publish a thought or two—our local Intoleristas are circulating the rumor that I am dying of cancer, and so I thought it wise to poke my head out and say a little something. Otherwise they might affirm the consequent, and conclude that I have gone to join the choir invisible.

And so my attention was drawn to this little parade of dunsical folly—Canadian lawmakers (good thing something like that could never happen here) donned pink heels in order to raise awareness of the need to end violence against women. Rarely have I seen a case so cogently made.

Actually it reminds me of captured prisoners of war being taunted by the enemy, and I think there must be something in the Geneva Convention that addresses this kind of thing.
