How did this not get 5 stars? What was it lacking?
I cry like a beauty queen at the end. Every time.
Same here. “Farewell, savior, friend…” That’s the part that gets me.
The internal dialogue of Ransom as he journeys from “God will kill the un-man” to “God expects me to kill the un-man”. The fact that this was uncontroversial to Lewis intrigued me as Lewis was a gentle, civilized man. Why would C.S. Lewis think so differently about this then Pastor 501(c) Momjeans ?
Also, The imagery of Weston’s being cast out of the heavens frightened me and the encounter by Ransom with the under-world creature of such alien sensibilities reminds me of my encounter with the Republican establishment.
I bet you’re identifying more with Ransom being attacked by possessed un-dead.
