I do not want to say a lot about this book here because I will no doubt be referencing it quite a bit in future posts. But I do want to select this book as my November book of the month selection. Run, don’t walk, and google up this title (while you still can), and get it into your possessionsomehow.
I have been reading and enjoying George Gilder for three or four decades. He is always provocative, but this book might top them all. Really good stuff.
In effect, Gilder argues that companies that give you their product for free, and who turn around and sell you and your eyeballs to advertisers in order to make their revenue, are companies that are not the first companies to arrive in a digital wave from the future, but are rather the last of the dinosaurs.
His reasons are compelling.
