I am just now finishing up one of the most satisfying books I have read in a long time — Jonah Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism. I will be posting further comments on the book in the future, but for now it should suffice to say that anyone who is in the slightest degree interested in the politics of the Western world should get, read, and internalize this book.
To anticipate the assertion that the first one in a political argument to invoke the “Nazi” comparison loses, this book is not a simplistic tu quoque thrown back at liberals who like to call conservatives fascists. This book is calm, thoroughly documented, sane, reasonable, and devastating.
This is a great book, and better yet, it is a significant, best-selling book. When I checked this morning, it was #44 at Amazon, and it has been higher than that. You may have heard about it already, and all it took was this nudge for you to get it, read it, and name your next son Jonah after the author.
