Theology That Bites Back
A professional actor went to observe Martyn Lloyd-Jones preach. He remarked with amazement, That man must spend hours practicing his (body language) in front of a mirror! He went again, and concluded with still greater amazement, That man does not practice at all !!! (Source: Iain Murray’s Life of Lloyd-Jones, probably Vol 2).
Isn’t it bizarre that Lloyd-Jones or Spurgeon or Luther and the like would be prohibited from preaching where I attend (PCA)? The current brood will quite them, but you can’t have just any solid, gifted, Bible-believing preacher up there, don’t you know.
