Minister: Lift up your hearts!
Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Forgive me now, oh Lord and God
And let your mercies come.
Descend from heaven and save me here,
According to Your mercy now,
According to Your kindly Word.
Then I will have an answer for
The one who brings rebuke.
My answer is my trust in You,
I answer the reproaching taunt
I answer with a heart of faith.
Take not the word of truth from me,
That in my mouth it stays.
I hope in how You judge the world,
I keep Your law continually,
Forever and forever now.
And I will walk in liberty,
For in Your law I step.
I testify before great kings,
And I will never be ashamed,
Delighting in the law I love.
My hands are raised to Your commands,
I love to honor them.
I mediate upon Your Word,
I love to think about Your law,
And so I taste it with delight.
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen
