Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Our Father and God, we praise You now in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.
You are the one who poured out the Holy Spirit on the great day of Pentecost, and there empowered Your Church to be Your people forever and ever. We rejoice that the Spirit was poured out on all flesh, men and women, so that principalities and powers could see Your wisdom and power, humility and shrewdness.
You have remade the world in this gift, and so we rejoice before You in it. We know that You did not give the Spirit privately, and so we rejoice in the presence of all that has breath. We assemble before You in the power of this Spirit, and the fact of our worship can therefore not be hidden.
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen.
