Minister: Lift up your hearts!
Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
God of glory, we come before You now in the majesty of Jesus Christ, and are glad to present ourselves to You in His name.
You have spoken the universe into existence. You fashioned the earth and the sun and the moon. You brought the animals into being, and fashioned our father Adam out of the dust of the ground. You brought our mother Eve into being from the ground of Adam, and You have given us marriages that follow the pattern of our first parents.
Despite our sin, You have shown kindness to us, and have brought salvation to us through Jesus Christ our Lord. We pray as we worship You today that our worship would be acceptable and honoring to You, and that You would receive it for Jesus’ sake.
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen.
