Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Gracious Father of all salvation, we magnify Your great works of deliverance through the ages, as You have always shown kindness to Your people.
You brought Abraham out of the idolatry of Ur of the Chaldees. You delivered Moses when he was just a child, and delivered Israel through him years later. You delivered the land of Canaan up to Israel through the faith of Joshua. You delivered Israel from the Philistines through the grace that You showed to our father David.
Father, in every generation You have always delivered Your people, and so we thank and praise You this morning for the deliverance that You have given to us. We praise You, not only through our salvation from sin in Jesus, but also the deliverance that You will accomplish for us in history, in our nation, our culture, and our generation.
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen.
