Minister: Lift up your hearts!
Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Father of deliverance, Father of all salvation, we worship You now through the great name of Jesus Christ.
When we were blind in our sin, You loved us. When we lived in a way that despised Your ongoing kindness, You showed mercy to us. When we were numbered among those who laugh and ridicule the holy things of Your Word, Your Spirit was tender to us. You forgave our sin and folly, and have gathered us here to worship You.
And so we worship You, Father, our merciful God, and the God of all comfort. Your kindness and salvation are infinite. Your mercy is forever, and extends to our children’s children. Your covenant mercy is everlasting, and we rejoice in Your presence.
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen.
