Minister: Lift up your hearts!
Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Oh God, my Lord and God,
I seek You early in the morning.
My soul thirsts for You,
My body longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land,
Where there is no water.
I long to see Your power and glory,
As I have seen it in the holy place.
Your loving kindness is better than life;
My lips shall praise You.
As long as I live I will bless You this way;
I will lift my hands in Your name toward heaven.
My soul shall be satisfied,
As with fat and with marrow,
My mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.
Lying in bed, I remember You,
And meditate on You in the night watches.
You have been my refuge and help,
So I rejoice in the shadow of Your wings.
My soul chases You hard,
Your right hand helps me pursue.
Those that seek my soul, that want me dead,
    They shall descend to the depths of Hades.
They shall fall by the sword
And scavenging foxes shall have their repast.
But the king shall rejoice in His God;
All those who swear by God shall then glory,
And the mouths of liars shall be stopped forever.
Psalm 63
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen.
