“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established” (Prov. 16:3).

It is important for us to dedicate our business to God. Unless the Lord builds the house, the one who builds it labors in vain. This principle applies across the board—to families, farms, retail outlets, internet marketing, and so on. Unless God is in it, we should not want to be in it. Man proposes, and God disposes. Man proposes what he wants, and God disposes how He wants. It is crucial for us to acknowledge this at the outset of any endeavor. This is not a theological truth floating above our heads somewhere (of course, God can do what He wants), but rather a truth we embrace at the outset of our labors. We embrace it because we love it. Beginning each day of our labor with prayer is an important way of committing our work unto the Lord. God has established good works beforehand for us to walk in them, and dedicating ourselves to do so every day is a good way for your thoughts to be established.
