Holy Warfare

Sharing Options

Worship is warfare. Throughout the Bible we learn the lesson that when the people of God worship rightly, their enemies give way before them. When they worship according to their own wisdom, they are prevailed against. Look around, and consider the condition of the church today. Nothing is more apparent than the fact that we desperately need a reformation in worship.

So if there is a lie on your tongue, spit it out. If you have falsehood on your hands, wash it off. If you have carped at a brother or sister unjustly, assuming things you know nothing about, then repent of it. If your feet have been walking where they ought not to go, repent, and turn around. If you come to worship filled with your own autonomous ideas, put them all down. If you have gold and a Babylonian garment hidden in your tent, confess your sin and glorify the Lord. We come before the Lord to present holy hands to Him.

Worship is warfare, but it is only effective when it is a holy war.
