Re: administrative bloat. Last year when I was waiting in Emergency for someone to see my 98-year-old mother the guy at the desk told me for every patient the dr sees he spends more than twice that time doing government paperwork… that’s the joy of Canada’s “free” medical. After a six-hour wait, my mother got up and told me she was done waiting, it was time to go home….
I used to provide healthcare fairly close to the Canadian/US border. I was a close enough to Winnipeg that I had many patients who came to see me just because the wait to receive care in Canada was so lengthy.
