The Democratic debate meme is funny but terrifying. That lady is way older than the actual girls Biden groped on C-SPAN…

On having children.

I stigmatize people from big families who are not super well educated and from rural conservative Christian towns.

Because that is the type of prejudice we are allowed to have.

I honestly don’t get bothered by that because it is a self defeating ideology.

I am far more bothered by the infiltration of leftist thinking into the church than scorn from the world.

I read the story, and it is interesting. The woman in question was from an evangelical background in small town Washington. Part of a larger diaspora from rural to urban, from traditional to Woke.

Regarding the word “duck,” I wonder if the verb is derived from the noun or the noun from the verb.

Or neither.

Neither.

Noun (1): Middle English duk, doke, from Old English dūce

Verb: Middle English douken; akin to Old High German tūhhan to dive, Old English dūce duck

(from Merriam-Webster)

By the way Shenvi was on the British interview show “Unbelievable?” With the excellent Ester O’Reilly, and James Lindsay (of the recent grievance studies affair). Worth a listen.

Anyone interested in an excellent treatment of the topic more generally should read Alan Jacobs’ Wokeness and Myth on Campus in the New Atlantis.
