The real question is how do some of us manage NOT to. Doug manages it because he really believes all of that stuff…and the rest of the Bible, including all those imperatives about being joyful.
Right, if you hold them as actually being true, as true as the smell of leaves on a fall day, it’s glorious. If you hold them as a way of being righter than the other guy, well, we’ve all seen that and that’s what leads PJ to ask the question.
