I am so thankful for your ministry! One thing that is at the top of the list for me is your contagious joy. From the outside looking in it appears that you have joyful loving relationships in your church and family. How do you hold to a, patriarchal, young earth, 5-point Calvinistic, postmillennial, general equity theonomic, anti-government school, paedo baptistic, biblical counseling, and real wine at communion perspective and have joyful relationships? The real question is how do some of us manage NOT to. Doug manages it because he really believes all of that stuff…and the rest of the Bible, including all those imperatives about being joyful.

Right, if you hold them as actually being true, as true as the smell of leaves on a fall day, it’s glorious. If you hold them as a way of being righter than the other guy, well, we’ve all seen that and that’s what leads PJ to ask the question.
