I get the point, but maybe “the sky is pink” isn’t the best example of an obvious absurdity.

On your “Advice for Christians for the coming decade” video, do you really believe if the church in America just had the correct eschatology that the current situation would have been avoided? It seems to me that there were several issues with the church in America that contributed to our current situation. I think the church for a long time before the sexual revolution failed to discipline sexual immorality. Before that the church failed to discipline pride and greed. It is perhaps possible to see how all the problems you stated are grounded in an idea that God deals primarily with individuals and not families, generations, and whole covenant communities, which itself is brought on by the idea that the Covenant of Grace doesn’t exist as a continuous thread running throughout the pages of Scripture, leading to the eschatology of individual salvation, individual Spirit-led hunches, and individual interpretation of Scripture. “Just having the correct eschatology” is rather like “just having the correct view of gravity.” It goes way beyond being able to recite the nature of gravity so far as it is understood in an exam. It literally affects how you get out of bed in the morning, and everything you do thereafter.
