Electoral College – I remember when I first learned of it in high school I thought it a bad thing, anti-democratic, yada, yada, yada. This was in the late 60’s. Even then, little emphasis was placed on the fact the founders created a Republic, not a Democracy, and they were careful to give the States the most power as opposed to the Feds. But even then some wanted a strong federal government. So today, pay attention to who it is clamoring for an end to the Electoral College.
