Those of you who have been to our home may be aware that we have put our three acres together with the two acres of our neighbor to the south, along with three more acres from our neighbor to the north, and are having it developed. The three pictures below are views from our deck.
Despite all the brown down there currently, it is really going to be beautiful. We had a lot of trees on the site which have been temporarily transplanted and are now sitting in tight, little groves on the north and south ends of the property. When they come back, the development is going to have a lot of more mature trees almost right away. The second picture shows the small mountain of topsoil which has been pushed to the side for the construction, and which will be put back when the homes go in, the better to enable the whole thing to spring back to green almost immediately. Third, the homes themselves are going to be really nice — both to live in and to look at.
When we first bought these three acres, we were outside the city limits, out in the country. We decided to take this step only after we had become a three acre island in the middle of new development that popped up to the east, west, and north of us. The only reason there was no new development to the south because that’s where the city of Moscow already was. Houses were built right up behind us, and it became apparent to us that this area of ours was going to be developed. We might as well make sure that it was done right, and done nice.
