“We would love nothing more than to teach the truth and forget about lies. We do not want to attack lies because we have perverse love for attacking lies. The central reason a biblical minister hates a lie is because it threatens the truth, which is precious to him. A man who watches complacently while rapists drag his wife off does not love his wife, whether or not he promises to visit her in the hospital. In situations like this, the only thing that love know how to do is fight. Far too many Christian leaders treat the truth of the gospel the same way the Levite treated his concubine in the book of Judges. ‘Hope it works out for you.
