Uganda is apparently considering a law that could result in the execution of homosexuals. Some evangelicals who believe that the Christian faith should have some impact on public policy, some at First Things, have argued against the law. And Rick Warren’s response can be seen here.
I know next to nothing about the proposed law, and so I am keeping my pie hole shut about it. But I am curious — when will there be an outcry in the radical two kingdom camp against these Christians who are clearly climbing over the wall of separation like this? Where will this kind of thing end? If Christians as Christians can start pressuring the state (any state) to not execute homosexuals, the next thing you know they might be urging lawmakers to not let them marry.
In short, can anybody tell me why, on R2K principles, why these protests from Christians are not illegit?
