“Now this understanding radically affects what we are donig when we seek to fulfill the Great Commission. Are we trying to do something, or are we telling the world about what has already been done? Are we fighting the principal battle itself, or are we announcing the victory afterwards? This is not a campaign where we are trying to get Jesus elected to anything. He is seated already at the right hand of God the Father, and He is already king of Idaho, Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts. We have the task of announcing to the remaining rebels in the hinterlands that their capital city has already fallen, their ruler dethroned, and that resistance is futile.
