This Table is a place where you should set aside all disputes when You come.
In the first place, set aside any disputes you have with God. If you dispute with God, you will be confounded. Will the one who is made say to Him who is His maker, why have you made me like this?
What disputes might you have with God? You might dispute with Him over how much money you have, or your height and weight, or your birth order, or your sexual nature. This is His Table; do not come to it with any disputes in your heart.
Also set aside any disputes you have with the devil. If you dispute with the devil, you will be deceived. With him it is a loss even to enter into the conversation.
What disputes might you have with the devil? Remember that he is the accuser; he is the prosecutor. Your disputes with him have to do with what a great sinner you are. He accuses, and you try to agree and make excuses at the same time. Drop it, and cling to the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

And set aside any disputes you have with your fellow man. This can include many subjects of dispute, so let me mention just one. If you are disputing with your spouse and you are coming to this Table, then stop it. Drop it. Let it go. Leave it on the floor, and don’t come back for it later. If you think that the other person has to go first, if the other person has to repent, if the other person is the problem, then set that disputing spirit aside, put that critical spirit down. Your hands can receive this bread and wine, but you have to set down your disputes first.
So come, and welcome, to Jesus Christ.
