Only God

Mark does not use the word hamartano, but he does use hamartia six times. He tells us that John the Baptist came and preached the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins (1:4). In the next verse, all of Judea came out to be baptized, confessing their sins (1:5). In the next chapter, Jesus began with the paralyzed man by forgiving his sins (2:5). And, as in Matthew, the word is used again in the following verses (7,9,10) as Jesus answers the charge of the Pharisees that only God can forgive sins. The premise was quite correct, but their assumption that Jesus was not Immanuel caused them to miss the point completely.
