Okay, here is where we have gotten thus far. The fourth chapter, News Babe, is now posted. The first chapter introduced us to two pastors in the same city — John Mitchell and Chad Lester — one of whom had blacked the eye of the other. The second chapter went back in time a couple of weeks to give us the set up, which is that Chad Lester is an ecclesio-skunk, the pastor of a great big megalo-church, and right in the center of a sex scandal. The charge, as it happens, is false, but there were plenty of other charges available that, had they been made, would have been true. The third chapter centered around a couple of cops who were required by an ambitious prosecutor to visit the church and have themselves a looksee. The fourth chapter introduces us to News Babe, a “televised blonde pestilence” who is not named until later in the story.
