A day or so ago, I announced the publication of Rudiments of Anglo Saxon. You remember that, right?
Well, here is a link to another product that overlaps with the Anglo Saxon. Matt Whitling has a wonderful course on The Grammar of Poetry (both book and video), and since Anglo Saxon poetry leans heavily on alliteration, he uses a section from Beowulf to teach it. A link to that section can be found here. If you go to the link, you can hear the sound of Anglo Saxon being read. I used to say that Anglo Saxon sounds like what German would sound like if German sounded good, but the joke never goes over as nicely as I would like. So I will probably stop using it.
