More on the Atheism Front

Sharing Options

I have some fun developments to report on the ongoing atheism discussion. First, we are getting some good reviews on Letter from a Christian Citizen. Here is a short but helpful blurb from Phillip Johnson, a man who is doing more than his share to keep Darwinists on their toes.

“Douglas Wilson provides a good-natured but devastating point-by-point rebuttal to Sam Harris’s “Letter to a Christian Nation” (Phillip E. Johnson, professor of law emeritus, University of California, Berkeley, author of Darwin on Trial).

Then there is this kind review over at Books & Culture.

To top everything off, Christopher Hitchens and I have both submitted our first installments for a blog debate, hosted by the web site of Christianity Today. Their announcement of the debate can be found here, and I presume that this is the same place where they will post our installments. Correction: the debate will begin Tuesday morning on their main page. We will be having our discussion through the month of May, Lord willing, or, from Hitchens’ vantage point, we will discuss this through the month of May if the blind concourse of atoms continue to bounce their aimless way down through corridors of time.

In preparing for this discussion/debate, I was actually pleased to find out that Christopher Hitchens and I had more in common than I initially thought. He is the author of many books, one of which is Letters to a Young Contrarian:

And of course, those who have followed our ministry here will recognize this book:
