I wonder why young people are leaving the church.

Of course some young people are loudly ignorant, but others are informed, and this just unnecessarily demeans every young person who may look for instruction and wisdom on your blog. You are just driving away the people who would most benefit from your blog.

I’m 24. I don’t find it demeaning. I’m big-headed and I need a reminder of that sometimes.

There is no one more disgusted at ignorant young people than wise young people who have to deal with them.

“For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in our turn?”

A young Twitter acquaintance shared this. I think she knew herself and her generation well enough to recognize the truth of the cartoon and laugh at herself in a self-deprecating though not self-loathing way. Similarly, it is possible for those of us past that stage to see and be amused by this foible of young adulthood, but not without affection.

ofc, and trust me I laughed, and trust me, I know how dumb the younger generation can be. But Wilson is a little to strong in his sermons and other platforms about how dumb all young people are, and how they the older are wiser to be able to post this and it not be taken wrong.

I think Doug was commenting on the recent and annoying trend of everyone saying: I Know Right!
