I suspect Wilson is in the pulpit almost every Sunday, preaching The Word.
He would appear to be doing that first thing, not substituting it for the alternative.

Me? Once or twice in my life I was at the pulpit, I was not speaking the sermon, but I did speak The Word!

and starts forbid the pulpit tell them they need to repent of evil ways. Better to let them assume what they believe is fully true and simply that there is a God who agrees with them.

This is 100% spot on. So is (Rules) a book that you have written, forgive my ignorance here, lol. This is fantastically clear and true. We have relegated the high call of the men of God into TED talkers and circus performers. The anointing of God is on the men of God, bound to our commission, to make disciples by boldly declaring truth.
