In some ways I am loathe to defend Doug here, as it looks lately like his dislike for Trump has upset his equilibrium.
BUT…
The meme simply says that reason should be AN absolute, not THE absolute. Philosophically, reason is grounded in the reality of a transcendent Creator God, and the critique seems to be more along the lines of attacking the deification of UNreasonableness, rather than elevating reason above God.

I seem to recall some French blokes who tried to make Reason an absolute. Didn’t turn out so great for them.
