Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Great God , Majestic Father, Creator of all that has life and breath, we use the breath You have bestowed on us in order to return thanks to You.
You are the God of great deliverance. You are the Savior God. You are the one who called our father Abraham out of Ur of the Chaldees. You called our father Moses out of the luxuries of Pharaoh’s house, and then through him You called our fathers out of their slavery in Egypt. You baptized them in the cloud and in the sea, and accompanied them in the wilderness in the Rock that was Christ.
Your greatness is beyond our comprehension, and so we simply trust in the means that You have ordained for tiny creatures to praise You. We trust that our praises, like our persons, are justified in the perfect obedience of Jesus Christ.
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen
