While I generally appreciate the work he puts into this crafting this schtick , I’ve sunk too far into old fartdum to get attached to the this late-night-genre-imitation-style.
But I bet I’m not the only one who worries for you that rubbing sideways against so much trendiness will both lessen your gravitas.
Doing your own regular roundtable — like an expanded Ask Doug — now THAT might be just the ticket, no?
Appreciate the plodcast. I’ve been reading Planet Narnia, plan on finishing it this afternoon. Its a fascinating read with a world of information.
Followup question. I have not read the Narnia Code. (Anything that is called The _________ Code automatically looks bad to me.) To anyone, including Pastor Wilson, who has read both, is there much benefit to reading the Narnia Code? It seemed to me like the Narnia Code was somewhat more condensed and meant to be more easily readable, less scholarly – sort of the same basic premise but in a bit more accessible format. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Can’t remember which I read first. But I would normally advise to read the popular one first and if you find it useful, then the in depth book.
But regardless, as you have found it fascinating read the shorter book, even though he covers the same ground it will cement some of the ideas. Perhaps wait a year?

From the video, solar eclipses are a chance for “awe and gratitude”. Makes one wonder to whom we should be grateful.
Watched total eclipse today. Jefferson City, MO. Words can’t describe it. Amazing. Awe. Absolutely incredible. I hope some of you guys got to see it too.
