There is a custom that the Scoutmaster says a few words at a scouts Eagle Court of Honor. I found that in general I could think of a word that related to the scout and was understandable to most of the audience in relation the young man. Once that single word was defined in my mind the rest of the talk was easy, skeletonized so to speak. (Hmmm, Baden-Powell would have liked that word.) I’ve never preached/taught/spoken a sermon and at this late stage of my life most likely never will. I’m unqualified. So is there wisdom for someone like… Read more »
