Okay, so here we go. I have posted the first chapter of Evangellyfish here. I hope, as circumstances allow, to post a new chapter every Monday until I run out of them. Now the book is already written, and so before I post a new chapter, all I need to do is a little bit of editorial sandpapering. Unless, of course, you all utilize the comments feature in such a way as to reveal to me a glaring problem in the plotifying, as we authors call it, and I am up to three in the morning trying to fix it.
I should probably say again at this point something I have said before. This is a work of fiction. I know some people out there might think the standard disclaimer about “any persons living or dead” is just a legalese covering for my authorial hinderparts, but the disclaimer remains true for all that. For some people, I would quote Carly Simon’s “you’re so vain” line here, except that there were layers in that song, and it probably was about the guy who thought it was about him. That’s not the case here.
At the same time, I am afraid that the world described in this book really does exist, and if it sometimes seems to be spinning out of control, that’s because it is.
