Lots of Death Spirals

Sharing Options

Mark Driscoll has some good things to say here about the Episcopalian death spiral. HT: Justin Taylor

Speaking of death spirals, seven Canadian women have decided to take the innovative thinking about marriage (that is all the rage these days) to the next so-called level. They have decided to marry themselves, which should at least improve the divorce statistics.

Different religious groups are trying to speed up the end of the world by various devices, ranging from intense evangelism to the raising of red heifers. Explanations of this would be kind of complicated, and perhaps a little tedious, would probably involve a goodish bit of math, and so I refrain.

The Presbyterian Church has determined that their churches are now free to dink around with the baptismal formula, to wit, baptizing their little pagans in the name of “Mother, Child, and Womb,” or perhaps “Rock, Redeemer, and Friend.” My view is that they ought no longer to halt between two opinions — they need to go all the way and start baptizing in the name of “Larry, Moe, and Curly.” HT: Bantyrooster

I don’t know if you will ever see this, since it’s pretty ancient in digital years, but…. In doing a search of your posts, I came upon this one which appears to be a short synopsis of recent news articles. I love it and haven’t seen anything like it that I remember since I started following you daily a couple years ago. Would be nice to see something like it again!!
