“At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Ps. 16: 11)
Growing Dominion, Part 86
“The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going” (Prov. 14:15).
One of the great lessons to be learned from spam is a reinforcement of what this verse tells us. The most remarkable thing about spam is not how rapidly it can fill up your in-box, but rather that spammers can somehow make a living out of doing this. Somewhere out there, quite a few people think that getting mortgages, watches, enhancement surgeries, or weight-loss programs by “clicking here” is somehow a good idea. And this does not even include all those exiled Nigerian treasurers who are looking to have you help them find a place for their money.
The simple believe every word, but the prudent man stomps on the ice. The simple go through life learning something new every minute, all while not learning anything. The prudent man looks well to his going, and this includes getting references, calling former employers, double-checking the warranty, and reading what he signs.
