Minister: Lift up your hearts!
Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Our Lord and Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, and who has poured out the Holy Spirit upon us. We long for fuller communion with You, and we praise You for drawing us to Yourself as You have done. We ask that the process You have established would be potent and effective, and we pray that the power of worship would hasten the day when Your predestined purpose for us is fulfilled. We praise Your name for establishing that purpose, and we bow down before You as the means of accomplishing it. We worship and serve You now, in accordance with Your graciousness and kindness to us. We sing to You because we cannot do otherwise.
And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen.
