I’ve recently entered the heretical stage where I’m thinking most of the Bible is type upon type — with the antitype situated all around us.

Example — could Jesus have been born in 5000 BC in a quiet central African village and give His life a sacrifice for all at the tender age of 1? — absolutely.

Meh. I think the sentence should include an “only:” “Those who appreciate the Bible *only* for its literary or historical value…”
I think the same fate awaits those who *cannot* appreciate the Bible for its literary or historical value.
